About the Author
Sarah Burnett-Murray holds several degrees, diplomas, and certificates from McMaster University and Mohawk College which she has earned over a 10-year period of post-secondary studies. After working in the healthcare field for 17 years, Sarah switched professions to pursue work in the co-operative housing sector. Currently, she is pursuing her Accredited Member of the Institute of Housing Management (AIHM) certification. Sarah is a big proponent of community engagement and education. As such, she spends a great deal of time volunteering as president of the Golden Horseshoe Co-operative Housing Federation and president of a local co-op housing board of directors. In addition, Sarah instructs for three co-op housing federations and sits on the Co-operative Housing Federation (CHF) Canada’s National Education Committee.
Her favourite pastimes include spending time with family and friends, reading, writing, music, movies, and going on new adventures. Sarah is passionate about children and animals. She is currently in the adoption process as a way to build her family and has rescued many animals over the years. She believes that small kindnesses can change the world and that even tiny creatures (like Frank and Phoebe) deserve a great life.
